xbl also does demos and discounts as well. the only real difference is how good the sales are. psn seems to have the better deals outside the free game area,
that last part is pretty much never going to happen. you cant police everyone on the internet. you'd need 1 msft employee in every match, or a program that listens in every chat session. both are impossible.
I;m happy they have a ton of apps so you can find entertainment around every corner, but i'd like to see more games, but i dont see that happening with next gen around the corner, and msft putting most of their studios into it
the fact they need the core to make systems move. show new kickass ips to bring the core back in do that for 2-3 years of the life cycle then bring in the casuals near the end. i mean i could be completely wrong and the next xbox could become the sesame street central gaming system for all i know im just making a guess that ms is doing the start strong in a full speed dash and coat to the end so to speak.

thing is the reward program isnt just that. its combined with a program that gives you points for playing games renewing your subscription, watching movies buying add-ons and doing monthly surveys. hell one month i got 1200 ms points. most of that was thanks to a glitch in the system though.

id say yes and no. it doesn't hurt the industry where it could effect it badly.
